The duo is also joined by actor Alexander England in the film, which will be written and directed by Abe Forsythe, reported Deadline.
The title follows Dave, to be played by England, a washed-up musician who joins his nephew's school trip as he has a crush on his teacher Caroline (Nyong'o).
However, he is challenged by Teddy McGiggle (Gad), who makes his own plays for her affections. A sudden zombie outbreak then throws the trip into chaos.
The movie will be produced by The Calders with Made Up Stories' Papandrea, Jodi Matterson and Steve Hutensky.
