Global luxury wirless lighting and shade control major Lutron today said it will give retail push for the Indian market but says they were not exploring FDI route.
"India is an important market for us and we are focusing but we are not looking at FDI and instead would continue to do business with channel partners," Lutron Electronic director sales (Europe & India) Javier Segovia said.
"Though Lutron is more a solution provider but we have products for ready to use like dimmers and sensors that can be sold through retail and plans to give further thrust," he said.
He was speaking at the sixth Lutron experience center in city's New Town.
At present, the Lutron products are available at 400-500 point of sales and its expansion plans entail that by 2016 Lutron will double its point of sales in India, the company said.
Segovia without divulging sales figure said Lutron has witnessed tremendous growth both in terms of sales and revenues with increased demand from residential and commercial sectors.
Lightkraft is the channel partner for Kolkata, Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati.
Lightkraft head Shiv Bahety said, "We are growing year by year and last year the turnover was Rs 30 crore.
