Madras Monsoon races from August 2
The total stake money of Rs 1,52,17,500 would be on offer in the races which would also have seven cups valued at Rs 1,40,000, Madras Race Club Secretary B K Amanullah Khan said in a release here today.
About 190 horses, sixteen trainers and 35 jockeys were expected to take part in the race, it said.
