Two men are missing since Tuesday morning after jumping off a canoe about to capsize in a river in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, an official said.
The incident happened near Kadoli village when the canoe was returning from Chamorshi in neighbouring Gadchiroli district, Saoli Tehsildar PK Kumre said.
"The canoe, with eight people, started tilting and two persons, identified as Ramchandra Pendam and Parshuram Atram, jumped off. While the other six managed to swim ashore after the canoe capsized, these two are missing," Kumre said.
