Maha Chief Secretary briefs PM on various projects

Maharashtra Chief secretary Swadheen Kshatriya today informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the land acquisition process for Ahmedanagar-Beed-Parli new railway line is almost completed.
The state will have its share of 50 percent in the said project, he said in his interaction with Modi via video conferencing.
The proposal of having 50 percent financial sharing will be put before the state cabinet for final approval.
Modi has instructed Kshatriya to complete the rail-line project within a stipulated period, sources said.
While interacting with the PM, Kshatriya said that the Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli Vaijanath railway line will boost development of the region.
The project of 261.5 km long railway line will need 1650 Ha land, out of which 1250 Ha land has been acquired by the state government.
Kshatriya said that the project will cost Rs 2819 crore and state will share 50 per cent of the total expenditure.
He also informed Modi that railway ministry has conveyed to the state the proposed final cost of the project.
Kshatriya assured the Prime minister that he will put the proposal for the approval of state's contribution of 50 percent in the project, they added.
He added that the work of track linking of 12 km between Ahmednagar and Narayandoh has already been completed whereas the land acquisition for Narayandoh to Parli is also completed.
According to the Chief Secretary engineering draft plan for Ahmednagar railway yard is ready.
Kshatriya said that state has allocated Rs 208 core towards the project till 31 March 2015.
The Railway ministry too disbursed Rs 274 crore for the project, he said.
Meanwhile, Modi also took a review of the Navi Mumbai airport in March and NTPC project at Solapur in April through video conference with Kshatriya.
