"We want to double our IT exports in the coming five years....From Rs 57,000 crore to Rs 1.20 lakh crore," he said at 'Meet the Press' organised at the Press Club here.
Rao, who recently met honchos of top IT firms during USA tour, said substantial investments have been attracted during the visit.
He said the TRS government, which completes one year in office on June 2, had succeeded in giving a good account of itself.
Replying to a query, Rao, son of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said he did not think of occupying a big post in the future.
"Our Chief Minister is a young leader in contemporary politics. I don't think of hereditary politics and getting a big post in future," he said.
