Maha: Couple found hanging from tree in Chandrapur

A couple was found hanging from a tree Monday morning in Ghugus town of Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, police said.

Chandrapur Sub Divisional Police Officer SR Nandekar identified them as Sunita Nile and Rajesh Gedam.

"They were found hanging from a tree in a farm along Pandharkawada-Shengaon road. The two are married to different people. On Sunday, Sunita arrived in Ghugus and called Rajesh. The two then went to the spot on a motorcycle and committed suicide," he said.

A case has been registered, he added.
