Maha Legislative Council congratulates India's Olympics stars

Maharashtra Legislative Council today unanimously passed a resolution congratulating the four women who brought glory to the country in the Rio Olympics.
The congratulatory motion was moved by Congress's Sharad Ranpise and Sanjay Dutt, complimenting P V Sindhu and Sakshi Malik for winning medals and Lalita Babar and Dipa Karmakar for their noteworthy performance.
It was unanimously passed amidst applause.
Shuttler Sindhu won a historic silver in the women's singles, Sakshi won India's first ever medal (bronze) in women's wrestling while Dipa created history with a fourth place finish in the gymnastics.
