Sayan, lodged in the central prison here, was admitted to the government hospital in the early hours after he complained of heavy pain on his back and hand, police said.
He was remanded to judicial custody till June 20 by a Kothagiri court.
Sayan was arrested yesterday on discharge from the hospital where he underwent treatment for more than a month for injuries suffered in the April 29 road accident and produced before the court.
Sayan, who has been suffering from kidney and intestine problem following the accident, would be in the hospital for some more days, police said.
Police have named 11 persons as accused in the murder and break-in at the estate and arrested 10 of them.
The prime suspect Kanagaraj, a former driver of Jayalalithaa, had died in a road accident in Salem in April.
According to police, Kanakaraj had plotted the crime with 10 others, including Sayan.
