Maize, bajra move up on increased offtake

Prices of maize and bajra rose up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today following increased demand from consuming industries against restricted supplies from producing belts.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries amid restricted supplies from producing region mainly led to rise in maize and bajra prices.
In the national capital, maize and bajra rose by Rs 20 and Rs 30 to Rs 1,450-1,455 and Rs 1,240-1,245 per quintal, respectively.
