Major General CP Singh assumes office

Major General CP Singh has assumed charge as Additional Director General NCC (Kerala and Lakshadweep), at the NCC Directorate here.
The General Officer was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in December 1979 and has vast experience of various command and staff assignments in all types of terrain and sectors. Also an Army Aviator, he has over 1000 hours of helicopter flying experience, a defence press release said.
The officer was awarded Mention-in-Despatches by the President for gallantry in Operation PAWAN (Sri Lanka) and has also been awarded commendation cards by four Army Commanders for distinguished service.
