US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump, who is also a top White House advisor, will be leading the American contingent at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad later this month, the State Department has said.
The summit, to be attended by 1,500 entrepreneurs from 170 countries, will be co-hosted by India and the US. The theme for the mega event will be 'Women First, Prosperity for All' and on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally.
In fact, more than 10 countries including Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Israel will be represented by an all-women delegation, the State Department said ahead of the GES which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.
As many as 31.5 per cent of the entrepreneurs at the GES are 30 years old or younger. The youngest entrepreneur is 13 and the oldest one is 84.
Women will represent 52.5 per cent of the entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem supporters at the GES 2017.
Participants at this year's GES -- from November 28 to 30 -- represent four key industry sectors: energy and Infrastructure, healthcare and life sciences, financial technology and digital economy, and media and entertainment.
Approximately one third of the entrepreneurs are from the US, one third from India and one third from other countries around the globe.
The 1,500 participants include nearly 300 investors and ecosystem supporters who will catalyse investment and networking at the summit.
Indian entrepreneurs from the length and breadth of the country will join the GES and connect with entrepreneurs and investors from around the world.
