Malaysian leader Dato Samy Vellu lauds Kalam

Malaysian leader Dato Samy Vellu today lauded the concern of late president A P J Abdul Kalam for the youth, saying their welfare was foremost in his mind even after he assumed the highest office.
"Kalam rose to the highest position in India, but even then, the welfare of the youth was foremost in his mind," he said, after unveiling a portrait of Kalam at the press club here.
He said it was the duty of one and all to educate children and encourage them to plant seedlings in their homes.
