Police have arrested Sanjay, who had allegedly gang-raped the minor sister of the person, whom he wanted to implicate, around two years ago.
"Santosh had threatened the family of the gang-rape victim to withdraw the case or face dire consequences," said a police official.
According to police, on Sunday night, Santosh approached the cops at Mangolpuri police station with a bullet injury in his arm and stated that the gang-rape victim's brother tried to kill him.
Sanjay and one more accomplice were out on bail, while two others are in jail in the gang-rape case.
"The victim's family claimed that Sanjay's family has done everything possible to make them withdraw the case. They also offered money to the victim's family and when they refused to accept, they were threatened with dire consequences," the official added.
