Man arrested for allegedly misbehaving with woman

A man was arrested on charges of misbehaving with a 24-year-old woman from Mizoram allegedly in a drunken state at Banjara Hills here today, a police official said.
The accused, Sheikh Moula Ali, who is a house keeper, allegedly outraged her modesty while she was getting down from an autorickshaw on Road Number 10 at Banjara Hills while on her way to her house last night, Banjara Hills Police Station Sub-Inspector K Krishnaiah said based on the complaint lodged by the woman.
"The woman, working at a restuarant at Begumpet stays at Noor Nagar. After completion of her work she was on her way home and was getting down from an autorickshaw when Ali, the accused, who was in an inebriated condition allegedly outraged her modesty," he said.

Following the complaint, a case was booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code, after which the accused was arrested and sent to juidicial remand, the police official said.
