The accused, arrested yesterday, had been remanded in police custody, said assistant inspector Dilip Jadhav.
On October 31 the police, acting on a tip-off, had arrested the driver of a tempo in which the animals were being transported.
Four more people were wanted in the case and the police were ascertaining whether the animals were meant for slaughtering.
