The accused, who was previously nabbed in a molestation case, was arrested on August 31 for raping and burning the minor with cigarette butts at many parts of her body besides hitting her head against a wall, a police officer said.
The accused's wife has also been arrested for covering up the crime and suppressing facts of the incident, the officer said, adding, enquiry has revealed that the accused was previously arrested in Mehrauli for sexually assaulting another child.
The victim was still under trauma and was horrified by nightmares of the incident.
