According to police, Karan Mathuro had a live-in relationship with the victim for the last one year and had developed sexual realations with her on a false promise of marriage.
Police said that the accused and the victim worked in a reputed company where they fell in love.
"Karan promised to marry her following which she started living-in relationship with the accused. They had been living together for the last one year and planning to get married. A few days back, the accused suddenly refused to marry girl," said a senior police officer.
Based on girl's complaint, police have registered an FIR under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused at Lodhi Police station.
"After filing of the complaint against Mathur by the victim, police launched a manhunt and arrested him yesterday and further investigation is on," he also added.
