The person has been identified as Jagdish Bharti, a resident of Akaha Vishunpur village of Samastipur district, SSB Assistant Commandant Rajiv Pilot said.
Bharti was arrested and handed over to forest department officials late last evening after a deer's skin worth Rs 15 lakh was found from his possession during search by the SSB jawans, Pilot said.
The person, who looked like a seer (Sadhu), had brought the deer's skin from Nepal but he claimed that someone gifted it to him which he used to sit on during prayers, the officer said.
