Amit Bhatnagar was arrested on Thursday from near Metcalf House building in north Delhi's Civil Lines area where he had gone in his car to meet an associate. The police recovered around 8kg hashish from his possession, said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
Bhatnagar, who graduated from the School of Open Learning under University of Delhi, moved to Nepal after the death of his parents who were government school teachers, said a police official.
In Nepal, he met a drug trafficker named Veer Bahadur and stepped into the drugs world. Bhatnagar later started procuring hashish from Nepal and selling that in Delhi in manifold price, the official added.
