Man booked for rape attempt on minor daughter

A man has been booked on the charge of indulging in immoral activity with his daughter, police said today.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother, her husband tried to rape his minor daughter yesterday, but the child was saved after she raised an alarm.
A case under relevant sections of IPC and 7/8 sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 has been registered, police said.
Efforts are on to arrest the absconding man, they added.
