Man booked for wrongful confinement, outraging modesty of

A young man has been booked for allegedly outraging the modesty of a 24-year-old woman and wrongfully confining her at his house in Tarkhanvanvabh village here, police said today.
The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Balwinder Singh, they said.
As per the complaint filed by the victim, Singh offered her a ride when she was going to her house yesterday but forcibly took her to his own residence, police said.
Later, she was forced to drink sedative-laced water following which she became unconscious and the accused outraged her modesty, they said.
The victim raised an alarm after gaining consciousness and the passersby rescued her, police said.

Efforts are on to arrest the absconding accused, they added.
