Man commits suicide by jumping in front of metro train

A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a Delhi Metro train at Jangpura station today, police said.

The deceased was identified as Mayur Sharma, who was preparing for competitive exams to get a government job. Sharma jumped from platform No. 1 in front of a train that was going from Escorts Mujesar towards Kashmere Gate at around 1.45 pm, police said.

His father is employed with the Coast Guard. No suicide note was found and the family has also not told police anything.
