The body of Vishal with nail-marks and other injuries was found last evening, they said.
Locals have alleged that the duo performed some exorcism ritual as they wanted to improve their economic condition through the exercise, police said.
A case of murder has been registered against the accused Narender (55) and his daughter Joshi (25) following which they have been arrested.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
