C Lalrawna of Dungtlang village was taking a nest of wasps in the forests for the wasps' larva when hundreds of wasps, locally known as 'Khawivanrial', had attacked him on October 12 last, the police said today.
He was rushed to neighbouring Khawbung Primary Health Centre.
He was referred to the Civil Hospital in Aizawl where he was treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the wasps' sting had resulted in kidney and lung complications.
