The floating body of Giriraj Garg, a resident of Bundi city, was discovered by passersby who informed the police.
Police fished out the body and handed it over to his family after a post-mortem, Narayan Singh, Assistant Sub- Inspector at Talera police station in the district said.
Garg worked in a jewellery shop here. His scooter was found parked at the Balaji temple near the river, police said.
Police said that they are yet to ascertain if it was an accident or a suicide case. The case was being probed from all possible angles as no suicide note was recovered.
