Balbir Singh (40) and Parshotam Singh (28) were repairing an electric motor in the field in the Pargwal area of Akhnoor when they received an electric shock, a police officer said.
Balbir Singh died on the spot while Parshotam received injuries and was shifted to the Government Medical College and hospital (GMC) in Jammu for treatment, he said.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, he said.
