A man was electrocuted when he came in contact with a high tension wire at his son's wedding reception, police said today.
The deceased Pooran Chaurasia was killed yesterday when he came in contact with the wire, police said.
Pooran's son-in-law Ranjeet Kumar has alleged that the tragedy took place because of the carelessness of the servants.
"There was a power cut due to dust storm yesterday. He had asked the servants to switch on the generator and put tape on the open wires, which they failed to do. After Pooran was electrocuted, Sarfaraz, the generator person and the servants escaped from the spot," Ranjeet alleged.
Police has registered a case and is investigating the issue.
