The victim was found dead on the dance floor of Club Embassy in Virginia at 1.30am on Saturday when he was found with an "apparent gunshot wound" to the head, TMZ reported.
It is unclear if Jeezy was onstage at the time of the shooting, and he has yet to comment on the incident.
A Snapchat video from inside the club shows a woman performing CPR on the victim, who has been identified on social media as Demetrius 'Yang' Darnell MCCloud.
A GoFundMe page has already been set up in the victim's name to help his family.
The club, previously known as Aqua Lounge, has a history of violence. Two people were injured after a shooting outside the venue in December last year, while in November, 2014, a club-goer began shooting into the crowd after being escorted out of the building, leaving one person hurt.
