Man, father-in-law killed in bike-truck collision

A man and his father-in-law were killed when the motorbike carrying them collided head on with a 10-wheel truck near Balapathar village under Harischandrapur police station in Malda district today, the police said.
Rakib Sheikh was taking his father-in-law Ashgar Ali to a doctor in neighbouring Katihar district of Bihar when the accident occurred.
Both died on the spot, the police said adding that the truck fled from the scene and none was arrested.
