A senior police officer said CCTV footage from the branch shows a person forcing his way into one of the cash counters during public transaction hours and escaping with cash.
An FIR has been lodged by the bank authorities and investigations are on to determine whether there was a lapse on the part of bank security guards or bank officials, the officer said adding, a search is on to trace there whereabouts of the person who fled with the money.
