The accused, identified as Sagar Joshi, allegedly told Samidha S Nilavade (43) that her in-laws had performed black magic against her and her daughter, they said.
To hep her get rid of its effects, he took gold jewellery worth Rs 2,19,000 and Rs 1,46,300 in cash from the woman. After realising that she has been cheated, the woman filed a complaint following which the arrest was made, police said.
