Man held for demanding extortion money

A man has been arrested for allegedly demanding Rs. 10 lakh as extortion money from a government medical officer of the district hospital here, police said today.
Sagar Dixit was arrested yesterday for allegedly demanding the extortion money from Dr. Yogender Tirkha and threatening the medical officer of dire consequences if he failed to meet his demand, said SHO Chandkiran Yadav.
An FIR was filed after Sagar Dixit went to the doctor's residence at Indira colony and threatened him on December 21, added the officer.
