A contractor and his associate allegedly killed his own employee by slashing his throat in North East Delhi's Seemapuri area last night, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay (30). He was attacked by Bablu, his employer and one Tarun both of whom have been arrested. The incident took place at around 9 PM near Seempuri market area, police said.
Bablu and Tarun invited Ajay for drinks. However, they soon started to argue over a previous incident in which Ajay had attacked Bablu. The argument snowballed into a scuffle during which Tarun caught hold of Ajay while Bablu slashed his throat with a paper cutter," said a senior police official.
The duo then fled from the spot. Locals called police which took Ajay to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
According to police, preliminary investigations have shown that a few days ago Ajay and Bablu had an argument over pending payment, following which the former attacked the latter with a knife.
"Bablu had filed a case of robbery and attempt to murder in this regard but they did not mention Ajay's name in the FIR. Both the accused have been arrested after we registered a case of murder in this regard", said a police official.
