The incident occurred yesterday when Kali Waghath was tying cattle in their shed near her house at Khanepada when the accused Eknath Wagath (26) slashed her neck with a sickle which resulted in her death, said Assistant Inspector Sunil Nandvalkar of Vikramgadh police station.
According to police, Eknath had a running dispute with Kali's husband and allegedly attacked her to settle the scores.
A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC has been registered against the accused who is absconding.
