A 35-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her nephew over a family feud near her house at Vikramgadh in the district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when Kali Waghath was tying cattle in their shed near her house at Khanepada when the accused Eknath Wagath (26) slashed her neck with a sickle which resulted in her death, said Assistant Inspector Sunil Nandvalkar of Vikramgadh police station.
According to police, Eknath had a running dispute with Kali's husband and allegedly attacked her to settle the scores.
A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC has been registered against the accused who is absconding.
