Man kills couple suspecting them of practising sorcery

An elderly couple was axed to death in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district by a tribal on suspicions that they were practising black magic.
Officer-in-charge of Sarat police station Nabakumar Das said today the two were killed on Thursday night at Dhanusahi village and before anyone came to know of it, the man went to the police station and gave himself up the next morning.
The man used an axe to kill the two suspecting that they were practising sorcery which was behind the death of his two younger brothers and sister in the last five years.
The man was arrested and the axe seized from the spot, Das said.
