Man kills wife, daughter before trying to commit suicide

A grocer today attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing his wife and minor daughter at Natna Daspara under Karimpur police station in Nadia district, police said.
Dinesh Swarnakar hit his wife Dipika, who was taking rest after lunch, with a sharp weapon at around 2.30 PM, injuring her seriously.
Their daughter Jui (6) entered the room and started crying after seeing her mother lying in a pool of blood. Dinesh hit her with the same weapon, police said.
Neighbours came to the house after hearing the cry and saw Dinesh sitting on the bed beside the injured Dipika.
He suddenly hit himself on the head with an iron rod and got injured.

When they neighbours took them to Karimpur Rural Hospital, Dipika and Jui were declared brought dead and Dinesh was referred to Shaktinagar Hospital, police said.
Local people said Dinesh's grocery shop was not running well lately and the couple used to fight.
