Man nabbed, arms and ammunition seized

A person was apprehended and huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered from his possession in Assam's Kamrup(Rural) district today.
Acting on a tip-off, troops of 9th Punjab Regiment conducted search operation at Tulsibari village under Rangiya police station and apprehended a person from his house, a defence spokesman said.
The security forces recovered four pistols, seven rounds of ammunition, huge quantities of explosives and some tools used to make arms and ammunition.
The person, identified as Samad Ali, was later handed over to the police for further interrogation, the spokesman added.
