Kolanjiyappan, who claimed to be a teacher in a private school got into the handstand position and rested his legs against a wall and remained in that posture for sometime at the Collectorate premises.
When asked by police and journalists, he said he was resorting to handstand to register his protest against NEET. He said,"NEET will hurt students and the rural poor and the exam must not be forced upon them."
A senior district official told PTI that the man moved out of the premises after his protest.
