A 35-year old man fell into a waterfalls while taking selfies with the gushing water in the background in Velamalai area in hilly Valparai near here today, police said.
Jayaprakash was seen by some locals taking selfies with his mobile phone and slipping and falling into the waters, they said.
A search was on for him based on a complaint by his father, police said.
Valparai has been receiving incessant rains for the last six days.
