Two men allegedly thrashed a man and then fired in the air following a quarrel between some children over playing badminton in northeast Delhi's Zaffrabad area, police said today.
Azhar intervened in a quarrel between some children over playing badminton last night, after which two men standing nearby accused him of being biased towards a few kids and started arguing with him and thrashed him, the police said.
Later, they came back and fired in the air. An empty shell also hit an employee of a nearby shop.
After the police were informed, Azhar and the other injured person were taken to a hospital and were discharged after first-aid, they added.
The police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
