In an amazing comeback after a major car crash last month, young Malayalam actor-director Sidharth Bharathan today said it was only due to God's grace that he managed to pull it through.
"I survived only due to God's grace," said Sidharth, who suffered a serious head injury in the smash that occurred at nearby Champakkara.
His mother, renowned actress KPAC Lalitha, who was with him at the Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi, thanked God and doctors at the Medical Trust Hospital for getting her son miraculously back to his life.
"Seeing him in the casualty soon after the accident, I thought he would not survive. I prayed to Lord Guruvayoorappan (Lord Krishna of famous Guruvayoor temple) continuously for three days. It was due to his blessings I got him back," she said.
She also thanked the management, doctors and staff at the Medical Trust Hospital for their dedication in carrying out their professional duty.
Sidharth, son of legendary Malayalam film director Bharathan and Lalitha, was seriously wounded after his car allegedly crashed into a roadside wall in the wee hours of September 12.
Doctors who treated him, said a combination of factors, including his young age and timely medical care helped him recover fast.
Sidharth had suffered a serious injuries in his head, chest, elbow and thighbone in the accident.
"He is very oriented. He will be able to back in action very soon," doctors said.
Dileep-starrer 'Chandrettan Evideya' directed by Siddharth early this year was a box office success.
