Manjhi's grandson beaten up by liquor traders

Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's grandson was severely beaten up allegedly by some liquor traders, over police raids at their outlets at Ranipur village here.
Some liquor traders pounced on Amit Manjhi, grandson of the chief minister, while he was passing by their shops last night, Station House Officer (SHO) of Kako police station Amrendra Kumar said.
The attackers suspected Amit Manjhi as being behind the police raids at their outlets in the district, he said, adding, Amit Manjhi was taken to Sadar hospital.
On a complaint by Amit, an FIR was registered against four persons with Kako police station and two of them have been arrested so far, the SHO said.
Those arrested have been identified as Amit Das and Akhilesh Das, the SHO said, adding, search is on for others.
Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi is MLA from Makhdumpur (SC seat) in Jehanabad district.
