Manoj Vaidya is ITF Level III Coach

Maharashtra's Manoj Vaidya has becom the seventh coach in India and the fourth from the state to successfully complete the ITF Level-3 coach and ITF Level 3 Tutor Certification programme conducted by the International Tennis coaches department in Spain.
Vaidya, CEO and chief coach of the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA), has thus joined the elite group of coaches from Maharashtra namely Nandan Bal, Radhika Tulpule-Kanitkar and Hemant Bendrey who have cleared this prestigious exams earlier, a media release from MSLTA said today.
"MSLTA would like to congratulate Manoj Vaidya for his efforts of pursuing Tennis education and achieving the certification, and we feel that the additional certification achieved by him will help to improve the overall standard of coaching in the districts and MSLTA governed centres," said Sunder Iyer, secretary of MSLTA.
"It is also a matter of pride for the association to have top four coaches out of seven in the country," he added.
Vaidya passed his ITF-Level 1 exam in 1999, Level 2 exam at Colombo in 2000 and has coaching experience of more than 30 years.
"As a coach he has played a very important role in shaping the careers of tennis players across the state of Maharashtra and involved in MSLTA initiatives like the Tribal Training Programme at Nagpur, Vision Programme and the Future Kids programme for top state players," the release said.
Vaidya also has been the coach of the Indian Junior Davis Cup team twice, it added.
