Maoist accused in killing of 8 policemen arrested

A Maoist operative Raju Nutt, who is the main accused in the killing of eight policemen including a Station House Officer (SHO) of Aurangabad district in Bihar in 2013, was arrested today from Chandigarh, a senior police officer said.
Superintendent of Police Babu Ram said acting on a tip off, the police arrested Nutt, who was working in a private firm in Chandigarh, masquerading his identity.
On the basis of information provided by him, two of his accomplices were also arrested from Chandigarh, the SP said.
Nutt was the main accused in killing of eight policemen including SHO of Nabinagar, Ajay Kumar in a landmine blast under Tandwa police station in Bihar's Aurangabad district on December 3, 2013.
The Police were searching for Nutt and others and succeeded in nabbing them from Chandigarh, the SP added.
