Maoist involved in Venkiah Naidu helicopter burning arrested

A Maoist involved in the burning of a helicopter of then BJP President Venkiah Naidu in 2005 was arrested today from Navadih village in the district.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team nabbed prime accused Paras Yadav from his home, Sub Divisional Police Officer Barachatti Ajay Kumar Singh said.
Naidu's helicopter had made an emergency landing in the campus of Middle School at Parariya village of the district in 2005 during election campaign.
Naidu was taken away from the school by road before the Maoists swooped and burned the helicopter.
