Aurangabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Kumar Sharma said the arrested Maoist Siddharth Yadav alias Vikasji was wanted in the blasting of railway tracks on the night of July 22, in which the New Delhi-Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani Express had a close shave.
The pilot engine running ahead of the train derailed in the blast. Nobody was killed or injured in the incident.
"Yadav is the area commander of southern parts of Aurangabad and was wanted in several other cases as well. A pistol and two cartridges have also been seized from him," said the SP.
