Police said today a group of 15 armed Maoists set on fire three kendu leaf godowns after ordering the staff to vacate the buildings last night.
On Saturday night the Maoists had carried out a similar exercise and burnt down 12 godowns of kendu leaf .
All the godowns were located at Khaprakahol range of Patanagarh Kendu Leaf (KL) Division and the Maoist action had created panic among their staff and workers, many of whom had fled, according to DFO KL Patanagarh R K Singh.
The DFO has written to the police seeking protection for all godowns at Khaprakhol and Turekela police station area
