Maoists burnt an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and a vehicle in the agency area of Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh today during the polling for second phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

A group of Maoists burnt the EVM and a vehicle at Palakagidi of Koyyuru Mandal in the district before fleeing, according to a senior police official.

"Following this incident, repolling has been ordered at the polling station," the official said.
