Noted Marathi playback singer Krishna Kalle today passed away here after a brief illness.
She was 74.
Her last rites would be performed in the city tomorrow, family sources said.
The Maharashtra Government had recently honoured her with 'Lata Mangeshkar Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar' for her contribution to the field of music.
Expressing grief over her demise, state Cultural Affairs Minister Vinod Tawde said music lovers have lost a versatile singer.
